Specimen Requirements:

Collect: One 7 mL royal blue (no additive)

Transport: 2 mL serum at 20-25°C. (Min: 0.5 mL)

Unacceptable Conditions: Separator tubes and gels.

Stability: If the sample is drawn and stored in the appropriate container, the trace element values do not change with time.

Notes: Centrifuge and pour off serum. Do not allow serum to remain on cells.
