Collect: One 5 mL light blue (3.2% Sodium Citrate)

Transport: Whole blood if stored and transported to the lab within 4 hours of collection.

Unacceptable Conditions: Serum

Stability: Ambient or refrigerated: 4 hours; Frozen: 1 week

Notes: In unable to transport immediately, separate plasma from cells and freeze. aka - APTT
