Turnaround Time:
24 hrs for E.TN allergens, 1-2 days on all others

Methodology:
3rd generation RAST testing or ImmunoCAP or comiluminescent Immunoassay or chemiluminescent depending upon Allergy

Specimen Requirements:
- 6mL or One red or gold serum separation tube
- 0.3mL serum for one allergen; Additional 0.1ml for each additional allergen

Causes for Rejection:
- Hemolyzed, icteric or lipemic sample
- Stored or shipped at incorrect temperature
- Incorrect anticoagulant
- Insufficient specimen volume

Specimen Stability:
Serum stable at 2-8°C for 2 weeks

Storage and Handling:
Refrigerate specimen until pick up. Ship with cold pack if sending overnight.

Reference Range:
>0.2kUL allergen detected / not detected

Indication:
