EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP
Roger A. Hubbard, PhD Founder, President, Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Roger Hubbard provides scientific and executive leadership to Ascendant Medical Laboratory in Knoxville, Tenn. and its parent company, Molecular Pathology Laboratory Network, Inc. (MPLN) in Maryville, Tenn. Dr.Hubbard is also a laboratory inspector within the Laboratory Accreditation Program of the College of American Pathologists. Dr. Roger Hubbard completed doctoral studies in biochemistry and molecular biology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and subsequent training in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson. He holds the academic rank of adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville and holds the High-complexity Clinical Laboratory Director certification from the American Board of Bioanalysis.
Daryl Lundgrin, MD, Medical Director, Hematopathologist, Knoxville
Dr. Daryl Lundgrin is a pathologist and the medical director of Ascendant Medical Laboratory. Dr. Lundgrin has more than 20 years of medical experience and is certified by the American Board of Pathology in anatomic and clinical pathology with subspecialty certification in hematopathology
Michael Bugg, MD, Medical Director, Memphis
Dr. Michael Bugg is the medical director for Ascendant Medical Laboratory in Memphis, Dr. Bugg is a pathologist with Pathology Group of the Midsouth, Inc., the director of pathology at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto and the director of the Medical Laboratory Technician School at Southwest Community College. Dr. Bugg is certified by the American Board of Pathology in anatomic and clinical pathology and is licensed by the states of Mississippi and Tennessee.
Stephanie Dolsen MPH, MT (ASCP) SC, DLM, Administrative Director
Stephanie Dolsen is responsible for adminstrative operation of Ascendant Medical Laboratory. She is a state licensed medical laboratory supervisor and has more than 25 years experience in medical tech and lab management. Prior to joining Ascendant Medical Laboratory, Dolsen held management positions with Baptist Health System of East Tennessee, MEDex Regional Laboratories, LLC and Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center. She holds a master’s degree in public health and a bachelor’s degree in medical technology from East Tennessee State University.
